VIDEO OF IT IN ACTION ____----- [link]

(Mosin Nagant) bit of an insane blanket, but it's for my special girl now. She's old, so old infact that she was issued in 1943. She has Soviet Markings, came with some old looking can of cleaning oil, cleaning rod, the tool kit and a kinda neat ammo pouch, and I even managed to get a free box of ammo for it. The guys I'm working with on this run the local surplus store, which if some of you remember gave me a free Alice Pack, with frame and all. I LIKE THIS GUN, it feels natural to me, not to mention I like the guys I bought it from, they give me all the good deals, and I appreciate it greatly so they have my business as long as they are there, and have things I want, which so far have. anyways back to the rifle, she had a sticky bolt at first, i solved that right away by simply working the bolt over and over for a bit, now it sounds mean. the bayonet didn't fit at first, i had to file the inside of the bayonet thing so it would fit jsut enough to squeeze it one and twist it over.

The wonderful Info~
Produced by Izhevsk (Soviet Union) 1943
Old as hell
Probably hasn't been cleaned since 1945, in the middle of Berlin.
and all that wonderful stuff that you can look up on your own because I'm to lazy to type it all up.

Let me edumakate y'all

Its the model 1891 M91/30 Mosin-Nagant (Pronounced MosEEN NagaNN in phonetic Russian)

It was originally producted under the Czar as the Dragoon rifle in 1891, it is one the most simple and robust bolt action rifles ever built. It was produced all over the eastern bloc and parts of Asia up untill the 1960s. DO YOUR HOMEWORK.

Use [link] to indentify the arsenal markings, to determine where it was made, the website is very helpful in that respect as well as cleaning instructions. Don't be afraid to abuse the gun, its seen much worse.

You will need to clean the gun IMMEDIATELY after after firing because most surplus ammo (if it comes in paper packages) is highly corrosive regaurdless of what the packaging says.

In case you are wondering, the cleaning rod is stored in the gun under the barrel, and the little metal rods that came with it hook into it to enable breach end cleaning.

The little metal bottle cap looking thing is the crown protector, fit it on the end of the barrel to clean from that end without scratching the crown.

Treat it right and it will be ever so much fun.
